The Wonderful World of Birding
April 4 @ 11:00 am - 3:00 pm
The folks from Open Door Bird Sanctuary in Sturgeon Bay, Wisconsin will bring some of their rescued birds of prey for a series of mini classes and a general meet-and-greet! You might visit with a kestrel or a great horned owl… Or admire a red-tailed hawk or a turkey vulture. The classes will be held in the Greenhouse at The Bruce Company and begin at noon, 1 and 2PM. In between, some of our reps will be on hand to answer general and specific backyard birding questions, including how to get hummingbirds to visit your yard!
This event is free and no pre-registration is required.
ABOUT OPEN DOOR BIRD SANCTUARY
Open Door Bird Sanctuary provides a one-of-a-kind experience with birds of prey in a natural environment! The sanctuary is located on a 34-acre parcel of land near Jacksonport, WI. We provide homes to un-releasable birds of prey. These birds are incredible ambassadors for the environment and work with their handlers to inspire and educate the public both at the sanctuary and many other locations. With the exception of Aisling, our Eurasian Eagle Owl, all other birds are natives of Wisconsin.
