Position Summary
Responsible for providing the labor necessary to complete tasks such as mowing and edging of lawns, pruning trees and shrubs, planting flowers, watering lawns, trees, and plants; raking and disposing of leaves and other yard waste; and planting and maintaining trees, shrubs and flowers.

Duties and Responsibilities

• General Labor including but not limited to: planting & providing flower care, string trimming, pruning, mowing, edging, mulching, weeding, chemical application, and picking up trash
• Take direction from the crew leader, completing other tasks as assigned
• Assist with the training of co-workers
• Follow and set the standards for a quality company image that invites customers to repeat their business
• Emphasize the importance of customer service to coworkers
• Communicate any concerns or problems regarding landscape management with the Crew Leader
• Communicate effectively with other coworkers to function as a team
• Assist with snow removal during the winter months as business needs dictate
• Participate on equipment maintenance
• Performs other tasks as assigned by crew leader, supervisor, and/or manager

Qualifications
To perform this job successfully, an individual must demonstrate and perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The ability to effectively communicate and interact, in a positive manner, with all Company personnel and external customers is also required. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

• Must have a valid Drivers License in good standing.
• Able to take direction well.
• Able to maintain a good employment record; limited absences and tardiness.
• A motivated and loyal individual who takes pride in the work accomplished.
• Able to understand written and or oral instructions.
• Able to complete the required paperwork completely and accurately.
• Able to work independently and also in a team environment.
• Able to communicate effectively with supervisor and coworkers.
• Willing to learn the required tasks.
• Must have the ability to frequently bend, stoop, kneel, remain on feet all day and have the ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Must be willing and able to work in an environment with chemicals and fertilizers.
• Ability to work approximately 40-55 hours/week.
• Ability to work Saturdays when workload dictates.
• Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions.
• Availability for snow removal during winter months as business needs dictate.
• Must have the ability to communicate in English.

Job Specifications

• This is a Full-time Seasonal position.
• Typical work hours are Monday through Friday from 6:45am to 5:00pm (40-55 hours per week) during our peak season (approximately April to November). Saturday hours as needed.
• Hours vary in winter months (approximately December through March) based on snow removal.
• Overtime may be required as workload dictates.
